The first method is to outline all the elements (such as cabinets, beams, soffits, etc.) that project toward the viewer and establish the limits of the wall elevation, as shown in Figure 7-11. These methods are illustrated in Figure 7-10. There are two basic methods that professional firms use to draw interior elevations. The elevation is drawn to scale, with the limits of the ceiling, floor, and adjacent walls (or other forms) shown with a dark outline. Interior elevations are drafted to clearly indicate surfaces, edges, and the intersections of materials and forms.
